If you look behind Brushy Mountain Prison you may see the fire tower on the top of the hill.  This trail goes from Armes Gap to the lookout tower in Frozen Head State Park.  Along this trail, you can take a quick offshoot that goes to the old mines the prisoners worked in.  You can also look over the prison grounds.  The trail also goes to a campsite, rockhouse and spring.
